Connections Merlin by DJ Forrest

(2008–2012)

The series tells of the story of a young magician named Merlin and his life at Camelot, serving King Arthur. It tells of friendships forged despite magic being outlawed. It shows a loyalty between servant and king and how with Merlin's help, Arthur becomes a great king and legend.

The series was created by Johnny Capps, Julian Jones, Jake Michie and Julian Murphy, and stars John Hurt (voice of the dragon), Colin Morgan as Merlin, Bradley James as Arthur, Richard Wilson as Gaius (in my opinion one of his best roles), Angel Coulby as Gwen, Katie McGrath as wicked Morgana and Anthony Head as Uther Pendragon.

A great series, which has seen a great cast list over the 5 seasons which ran from 2008 - 2012. So many people from the world of Who and Torchwood.

We've done the research, so you don't have to.
