Connections Waterloo Road by DJ Forrest

Waterloo Road began in 2006 and started its life somewhere in England, before moving north to Scotland.  Set in a secondary school the drama tells of the lives of the staff and pupils on both sides of the educational system.  There were many familiar faces in staff as well as the pupils who began their stint on the show.  In fact, so many that we felt we had to take a stroll along the sweaty gym halls and quiet corridors leading to the classrooms to find out just how many we recognised from the Whoniverse world.

The interest for life in school programmes stems from Grange Hill, and for the most part, Waterloo Road is Grange Hill but with a more balanced view, not just about the pupils, but about the teachers and new families coming into the series.
Whereas Grange Hill was for children, Waterloo Road entertains the whole family, with topics ranging from LGBT issues to sociopaths, to pregnancy and more.

Welcome to Waterloo Road and a trip down the Whoniverse Corridors.  We’ve done the research so you don’t have to!
