Connections Midsomer Murders by DJ Forrest

It’s only when you actually begin putting the collection together do you begin to realise just how much work it’s going to take.  Midsomer Murders began in 1997 with John Nettles heading up the cast as DI Barnaby who worked for Corston CID.  In the nearby town or village of Midsomer you were guaranteed a murder most foul, and by often the least likeliest of villains, but you were always guaranteed to see a face you recognised.  In the first ever episode we saw a very young Orlando Bloom being pitch-forked on his doorstep (and that’s not a euphemism), he was literally stabbed with a pitchfork.  Can’t recall the perpetrator, could have been the woman from Butterflies.  But anyway, I digress.  When I first looked at this as an article for a Connection, it had been purely an interest due to Naoko Mori’s appearance in the show in the last episode this month.

This has been a mammoth task and not one for the faint hearted.  The cast list is huge, far larger than Joshua’s family tree, and so there were quite a few names to check off and it did feel as if I were checking Rift calculations set out by Toshiko just to be sure that mine tallied!!!

If anything, I’ve done the research so you don’t have to!
