News Happy Birthday Indira Varma

Happy Birthday Indira, you celebrate your day with Tristram Carey (1925-April 24, 2008).  Tristram Carey was an Australian composer who wrote music for Doctor Who between 1963 – 1966, including the very first Dalek story in 1963.

Did you know on this day in 1966, Episode 3 of The Gunfighters: Johnny Ringo was broadcast?  It was Season 3 and starred William Hartnell as the Doctor with Peter Purves and Jackie Lane as his companions. 
Writer was Donald Cotton, Director Rex Tucker, Music by Tristram Carey.

The TARDIS crew arrive in Tombstone, Arizona in 1881 and are caught up in the infamous gunfight at the OK Corral.


In 2008 Father’s Day was broadcast.  It was the 164th story of Who and starred Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor with Rose Tyler his companion.
Writer was Paul Cornell and Director was Joe Ahearne.

The Doctor takes Rose back to the moment when her Dad dies, but is unable to stop Rose rushing out to save his life, wounding time and encouraging Reapers to begin erasing history.


In 2011, The Doctor’s Wife was broadcast.  It was the 216th story of Who.  It starred Matt Smith as the Doctor with Amy Pond and Rory Williams as his companions.  Suranne Jones appeared Idris/THE TARDIS, Paul Kasey as Nephew, Michael Sheen provided the Voice of House.
Writer was Neil Gaiman and Director was Richard Clark.

The Doctor receives a distress call from a living Time Lord.  Although aware that he is the last of the Time Lords the Doctor heads to the source.  However it’s a trap to lure the Doctor an asteroid outside of the universe.  The energy of the TARDIS is being consumed by an entity called The House, and the matrix of the Doctor’s TARDIS is taken and placed inside a woman’s body named Idris, who helps them to escape.
